Jasenovsky Earns Defensive Player of the Week

ESCANABA, MI – Bay College's Jade Jasenovsky was named the MCCAA Defensive Player of the Week in the Northern Conference for her play during the week of October 6 through October 12.

The Norse had two conference matchups during the week.  On Monday they were at Alpena Community College and the Norse swept the Lumberjacks in three sets.  Jasenovsky (SO, Menominee, MI) had 15 digs and just one receiving error in the match.  The Norse hosted Montcalm Community College and Jasenovsky's 29 digs helped lead the Norse to a 3-1 victory.  She had just two receiving errors in that match. 

For the week Jasenovsky totaled 44 digs, giving her 6.29 digs per set.  Her receiving percentage was 90.9%.  It is the first time this season she received this honor.  Last season she was awarded Defensive Player of the Week three times.

The Norse will be at home next as they host Delta College on Wednesday at 6:30 PM.
